The Interoperable Europe Academy (IOPEU Academy) is an educational initiative promoted by the European Commission. It is dedicated to empowering ICT professionals and students with the resources they need to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and digitalised world.
The prestigious yearly Samos Summit conference on ICT enabled Governance attracts a wide and international audience, including experts on research
Over the years, Interoperable Europe Academy has hosted a series of sessions, each highlighting different aspects of interoperability. For their first participation on 2020, the Interoperable Europe Academy team held a particularly engaging session revolving around the European Interoperability Framework (EIF). Attendees discovered the three pillars of the framework and learned how interoperability contributes to the design of integrated public services. More information on the participation of 2021 can be found here and the one of 2022 here.
The agenda will go as follows:
Samos Summit 2023 lecture and workshop:
- Tuesday, 27th of June (9.00-10.30 CEST), lecture on:
- Friday, 30th of June (11.00-12.30 CEST), workshop on the topic of:
The IOPEU Academy in practice: Interoperability basics and beyond: The Alignment of National Interoperability Frameworks (NIFs) to the European Interoperability Framework (EIF).
The lecture aims to educate attendees about interoperability solutions and to give them insights into Interoperable Europe Academy and the newly developed Interoperable Academy Curriculum, which is designed to give a structured interoperability learning journey. The participants will also learn about the Interoperable Europe Act Proposal, a legal initiative driving digital transformation and seamless information exchange across EU borders.
Following that, a brief presentation of the 'European Union Public License (EUPL)' course will be included. This course is currently under production, and it aims help the learners explore the legal aspects of software licensing in the EU, specifically the European Union Public License (EUPL) in a comprehensive way.
