What is BDTI?

The Big Data Test Infrastructure (BDTI) is a ready-to-use and free of charge (for a period of six months) analytics cloud stack offered by the European Commission as part of the Digital Europe Programmeto all local, regional and national European public administrations. The BDTI allows its users to experiment with open-source technologies and foster the re-use of all public sector data and information. Overall, BDTI's goal is to contribute to the development of a data-informed public sector.

Why use BDTI?

Since January 2023, the European Commission has published a list of high-value datasets that public sector bodies will have to make available for re-use, free of charge, within 16 months. From geospatial data, passing by meteorological and mobility data, the BDTI is a great data playground to experiment with high-value datasets using data analytics tools without wasting time on installation and configurations. Benefit of a high-performance infrastructure and have access to advisory and technical support for six months!
